The CU Women's Basketball have had a remarkable start at 12-0. This is a great start for Linda Lappe and the lady Buffs going into Pac12 play.
The Lady Buffs have had great play from veterans Chuckey Jeffires, Meagan Malcom Peck and Julie Seabrook. What has been a surprise is how much help they have had from incoming Freshman Lexy Kresl(#1) and Jen Reese(#34). These two freshman have 12ppg(Kresl) and 9ppg(Reese) accounting for a majority of their points. Chuckeyt Jeffries is leading hte team with 17ppg and Seabrook is second in rebounds only too Chucky Jeffrey. These players are filling a major hole left by Brittany Spears the Buffs all time leading scorer. This past week Cu came from behind to win their first Pac-12 game against Utah last week. What's interesting as you look at their remarkable 12-0 start is who have they played. That's not so bright. Their opponents combined record is 59-107. They have only played two teams with winning records (DU and Utah). The road gets tougher as they go into Pac 12 this week against Washington and Wash State. Next week reality sets in when they play Stanford and California. |
